Joseph Leckie Community Association will be amongst the many sporting organisations, clubs and services participating in this year’s SportsFest 2012 at Walsall Arboretum on Sunday 9th September!
The event takes place at Walsall Arboretum next to the children’s play area, off The Broadway on Sunday September 9th from 10.30am to 3.30pm.
Attractions include Mad Dog Maxx Wrestling ring, Bear Creek Climbing Tower, inflatable slides, assault course, face painting, and coaching sessions in football, rugby, athletics, and karate. There will also be demonstrations and displays from several local sports clubs, free bike safety checks, keep-fit Bootcamp and Zumba tasters, as well as bite size sessions in aerobics, circuits and Boxercise.
SportsFest 2012 is part of the Bandstand Marathon, a nationwide community event to celebrate the end of London 2012. Held also in the Arboretum and within the bandstand, there will be live music, craft stalls, family activities, wood sculptors, community artists, Walsall Knitting Circle and cake decorating.
